Richard Hayward Properties comprises of a number of staff with differing vocation – Chartered Surveyor, Project Managers, Internal Banker, Residential Letting Staff and Managers, Accounts Team, Office Administrator and Personal Assistant.
He also has a team of builders who operate looking after the properties and carrying out essential repairs works. In the lockdown period he was employing 24 people.
Looking back over many years Richard played a part for five years in the creation of the Millennium Stadium working within the core team. He is proud to have been involved in the Stadium which is widely regarded as the best in the world. He went on to Develop the Millennium Plaza and ended up owning the building.
He went onto develop 350,000 sq ft at Salubrious Place in Swansea with his friend and colleague John Ives and the two of them created the finest Leisure Area ever seen in Wales bringing Aspinalls Casino with Premier Inn, TGI’s, Vue Cinemas and many other operators to the venue. His portfolio today encompasses residential flats, houses, industrial, retail, offices and hospitality.
Richard is currently looking to develop his portfolio to add industrial space and residential units.
He is shortly to go on site to build a 46,000 sq. ft of Industrial Units at Port Talbot comprising 6000 sq ft units and a 23,000 sq ft unit with help from Development Bank of Wales and the Welsh Government. The Plan is to do a further Phase following the completion of Phase 1.
Future plans are to develop the site of SA1 Business Park and add further letting units. An overhaul of the residential portfolio is underway and will be completed by Christmas 2021. Next year it is hoped to look at developing St James Church Pontypool with our own building team and look towards Blaenrhonnda where we have a 10 acre site to create a Caravan Park with Glamping Pods.
