RHP World

Richard Hayward Properties is a property company with a difference.

Property developer, investor, landlord and asset manager, residential, commercial, retail, leisure and mixed use, its approach is broader and its range of interests more diverse than most in the industry.

Fuelled by Richard Hayward’s passion, drive and enthusiasm for business, his varied private interests, ability to spot real potential, RHP is also an investor in and champion of a number of small businesses – including start ups and established businesses that need help.

Richard’s commitment to quality is nowhere more apparent than the time, energy and love he has invested in renovating Beachcliff, the waterfront property in Penarth. Not only did he commit himself to restoring it to its former glory, but he has been involved in the very smallest detail, from personally selecting the baths to the fabric for the curtains and even playing his part in designing the external decorative balastrades.

And, it was this dedication that led Richard to search for and find an accomplished chef to run the signature restaurant at Beachcliff. Rather than leave the leasing of the premises to merely a financially viable candidate, Richard was determined to find someone who was not only extremely accomplished but was also willing to put their heart and soul to that restaurant to create something worthy of this important location.  This he found in James Sommerin.

This enthusiasm and desire to be involved extends beyond property into Richard’s outside hobbies. Although property development and motor racing might not be an obvious pairing, off-road rally driving is one of Richard’s biggest passions. This led to an opportunity at Bowler, to assist with a successful restructure and refocusing of the business.  As a result RHP is now one of the largest investors in the Bowler Motor-Sport business and Richard regularly competes for the race team across the world.
